The Mother I Could Have Been

Kerry Fisher

In this excellent page turner Fisher explores complex family dynamics and the raw truths of motherhood. The complicated experience of being a mother at different stages is laid bare, but with a remarkable lightness of touch and often humorous tone.

Fisher is an incredibly clever storyteller, but it’s her relatable and believable characters that will always make me want to read more of her work.
